PRESS RELEASE - For Release: 09/20/2016 08:15 AM

ERI Facility Expansion is on Schedule

September 20, 2016

Chandler, IN USA

Chandler, Indiana – September 20, 2016 – The expansion of ERI’s manufacturing facility in Chandler, Indiana, is proceeding on schedule. The company announced at NABSHOW2016 that it would be expanding its antenna manufacturing capacity by 800% by the end of the year. In addition, the company is adding personnel to its engineering, manufacturing, and installations staff to be ready to provide the equipment and services necessary for the TV channel repack which will follow the completion of the FCC’s Incentive Auction currently underway.

ERI will begin production of antennas and installation crews will be available immediately after the FCC issues new channel assignments to broadcasters either being relocated within the UHF television band or relocating from UHF Channels to VHF Channels. This will accelerate the process of clearing the 600 MHz frequency band allowing new wireless broadband services to be deployed in the band, within the 39 month repacking timeline outlined by the FCC.

This facility expansion also gives ERI the capacity to address the needs of FM radio stations whose on-air operations may be impacted by the tower work necessary to implemented channel changes at tower sites where TV and FM broadcast facilities are collocated. The expansion of facilities and the additional personnel preserves ERI’s manufacturing and installation capacity to provide FM radio broadcaster’s with access to the antennas and other equipment that may be needed to build auxiliary facilities or replacement transmission systems that may be required as a result of changes that must be made to television transmission systems at shared sites.
