ERI Introduces High Efficiency UHF Band Pass Filter at NABSHOW 2017

Chandler, Indiana – April 18, 2017 – Electronics Research, Inc. will introduce a new high power UHF DTV Mask Filter at the upcoming NABSHOW 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 24 to 27.

The UF35000 is an innovative tunable, high efficiency, waveguide UHF band pass filter. The power handling capability is 25 kW average power with convection cooling. Power handling is increased to 35 kW average power with the addition of forced air cooling and increases to 50 kW for the liquid cooled version. The filter is tunable and exceptionally efficient. The filter is constructed of lightweight silver plated aluminum. The design incorporates a unique system that allows the size of the individual cavities within the filter to be precisely adjusted to achieve resonance. This unique approach simplifies the filter construction, promotes reliability, and contributes to the low insertion loss.

In addition to the unique cavity construction all UF Series band pass filters include multiple cross couplings are provided to increase rejection of transmitter out of band emissions. Six and eight pole designs are available for 8-VSB, ISDB-T and other COFDM applications. Input and output connections are 3-1/8 inch, 4-1/16 inch or 6-1/8 inch, 50 ohm, flanged or unflanged.

ERI can provide the UF35000 as a part of a complete RF system. ERI manufactures a broad array of accessory products including directional couplers, coaxial patch panels, motorized coaxial and waveguide switches, liquid cooled RF loads, adjustable fine matchers and low pass filters. These accessory components can be assembled into systems that include support frames suitable for floor or ceiling mounted applications.

ERI ETV Series Broadband High Band VHF Television Panel Antennas debut at NABSHOW 2016

Electronics Research, Inc. is debuting a new family of broadband high band VHF panel antennas at NABSHOW 2016. The Electronics Research ETV Series high band VHF television antennas include a horizontally polarized high band VHF panel antenna element as well as an element for circularly polarized requirements. As with all ERI antenna systems these panel elements can be designed to mount on existing towers or supplied with integrated top or side mounted spines. Both models are available in configurations for three (3) curtain (for triangular towers) or four (4) curtain (for square towers) arrays. The elements and full arrays can be configured and optimized for a single high band VHF television channel, 174 MHz to 216 MHz, or be optimized to cover the entire channel span from 7 to 13 and handle multiple television signals in a single system. ERI can also provide channel combiners as a part of a complete system.
The horizontally polarized ETV Series antenna elements are constructed from rugged galvanized steel and include UV protected ABS radomes to protect the element feed points from weather and debris. The circularly polarized ETV Series antenna includes a full radome enclosure to protect the element from snow and ice and to reduce wind area, which reduces tower loading. Both models are rated to 5 kilowatts, average power, per element and include a single 1-5/8-inch EIA flanged RF inputs. These panel antenna systems can be designed to mount on existing customer owned towers or supplied with integrated mounting spines that are fabricated by ERI.
