Standard Ice Shields – Leg Mounted

ERI offers leg and face-mounted galvanized steel ice shields in standard configurations that can protect from falling ice and other debris for all types of side-mounted broadcast television and FM antennas as well as terrestrial microwave dishes of all commercially available sizes as well as ENG central receiving antennas, and other antenna types. ERI’s ice shields include mounting brackets and tie-backs to provide adequate support in severe weather conditions.  ERI also offers custom ice shield configurations and can supply modified mounts for its standard ice shield for special applications.

ISA03-04S Leg Mounted 3-Foot x 4-Foot Ice Shield

The ERI model ISA-03-046S is a steel leg-mounted ice shield with a ½ inch expanded metal grating. The grating is supported by a sturdy 2-inch x 2-inch x ¼ inch steel angle member frame and includes a tieback for uniform cross-section tower face sizes from 2.00 feet (610 mm) to 10.00 feet (3048 mm). All components are hot dip galvanized. Each ice shield includes leg mount brackets to attach to round tower members from 1.125-inch (29 mm) to 5.00-inch (127 mm) in diameter.

ERI Heavy-Duty Ice Shields

ERI’s Ice Shields which are 4 feet by 6 feet or larger than are constructed with one-inch by 1/8-inch 19W4 pattern galvanized steel bar grating. The selection of this material and the galvanized steel angle that makes up the support frame provide a structure that will survive and protect antennas and dishes in harsh weather environments.
